Contrary to expectations and despite global crisis and a generally volatile market situation, Soennecken eG draws a positive balance from its retailers for the past financial year. They are particularly satisfied with the Christmas business, the turnover for most Soennecken members was up on the previous year, even up to 20 percent.
The start of 2023 was also successful, and the school business is already in full swing, reports Margit Becker, Head of the Retail Business Unit at Soennecken eG. “The pleasing sales development shows us that customers appreciate a good offer and competent advice despite the difficult general conditions,” says Becker. “This realization gives us impetus and motivates us to develop retail further together so that it remains attractive and efficient in the future.”
Already at the Soennecken Suppliers’ Day in early December, Margit Becker presented the solid key figures of the Soennecken dealers and spoke of a renaissance in stationery trade. “Retailers have always focused on customer needs. Consumers want clarity and reliability through a recognizable profile of the shops and this in a pleasant atmosphere. The shops create space for leisure.” Becker is confident about the further course of 2023.
